Mobiliti software needs a mandatory client software installed on the laptop / desktop. Additionally, an optional Mobiliti Synchronization server needs to be installed on a server to make best use of Mobiliti’s differencing technology. It is not possible for Mobiliti Basic Edition to work with Mobiliti Synchronization server. Mobiliti Plus and Mobiliti Enterprise can work with Mobiliti synchronization server, and therefore can benefit from additional performance benefits that this mode has to offer. Mobiliti Features Offline and Fast Access to User Network Files and Folders “Road warriors” can be just as productive as office workers. All data—including My Documents and home directories—can be kept on the file server because they are accessible even when users are disconnected from the network. Data is automatically synchronized when the user reconnects. iDESP (Intelligent Delta Selection Process) and Compression Transfers only changes in files over the network using three different techniques. Mail Harmony 2-Way PST File Synchronization Backs up large Outlook PST files in seconds. Supports two-way synchronization of PST files. WebDAV and FTP Supports WebDAV / FTP servers as targets for synchronization. Supports iDESP features between client and synchronization server when using WebDAV / FTP servers. UI / Interface – Profiles and Auto Projects Enables configuration of automatic backup of commonly used folders like My Documents, Favorites, Desktop and critical data such as Outlook PST files. Maintains different sets of preferences in profiles. Applies a profile to a specific job schedule: auto, real-time or on-demand synchronization. USB/Removable Media Support Supports USB and other removable drives as backup/synchronization targets. Traps events corresponding to drive insertion. Detects and supports drive letter adjustments. Real-Time Backup Improvements Real-time feature is more integrated into the product and is part of auto-synchronization. Using the client-server mode, users can experience reduced bandwidth consumption through iDESP even in real-time backup. Allows users to be in a virtual network state even when the network is accessible. This enables cached access to network data. The modified cached data can be updated using real-time backup.
