How to do File Synchronization or Backup
-Backup Projects let you backup files from your local computer to a destination, either on the local computer or on the network. File Synchronization in these types of projects is one-way i.e. from source to destination. The files to be backed up should be included as file selectors in the Backup Projects and then synchronized.
Any2Any projects let you synchronize files from one or many locations on your local computer or on the network to one or many locations on your local computer or on the network.
In a two-way synchronization, Mobiliti raises conflict whenever synchronization process discovers that there are changes done on both the source and destination.
After identifying a conflict, it needs to be resolved. The Resolve Conflict button on the toolbar gives the user the options to resolve the conflicts.
Mobiliti facilitates moving Projects from one machine to another by first exporting the projects from the source machine and then importing the projects from the destination machine.
Exporting Projects
Highlight all the projects that need to be exported from the source machine and select the Export Project File option from the File menu. Save the file with a .nup extension in a location from where it can imported to another machine.
Importing Projects
Select the Import Project File option from the File menu and open the .nup file specified in the previous step. Highlight the Projects that need to be imported and click OK.
The user needs to Synchronize to have the files available in the destination.
