Chief Operating officer
The son of the founding father of Porsche, Audi and VW motorsport in the US, Mark Hoppen developed a passion for automobiles at an early age. Trained as lawyer, he began his career in 1993 as outside legal counsel to an automotive OEM. Eventually drawn to business, he went on to serve in key leadership positions in two OEM suppliers.
In the first case, Mark’s efforts led to the successful sale of a majority interest of a company that started as a component manufacturer and transformed to a full system supplier for Toyota, GM and Chrysler. In the second case, Mark’s efforts led to the successful carve-out and sale of two lines of business as part of the sale of affiliated businesses to a public company in 2016.
Mark holds his BA from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI and his Juris Doctor (professional doctorate) from the University of Detroit Law School, Detroit, MI. Mark is a member in good standing with the Michigan Bar Association, the Illinois Bar Association, and the International Automotive Remarketers Alliance (IARA) Standards Committee.
